Templar packages your EDI transaction so you can transmit it directly to your trading partner over any TCP/IP network, including the Internet. Templar provides an unprecedented level of security and reliability, and offers full tracking and auditing capabilities. Here are just a few of the features that let you send and receive EDI transactions over high-speed digital networks with complete confidence.

SECURITY
Encryption: Using both RSA public key and DES symmetric key encryption, TEMPLAR encrypts and seals your EDI transaction so it cannot be altered during transmission and can only be opened by the intended recipient.
Authentication and Non-Repudiation: TEMPLAR signs outbound EDI transmissions with a digital signature that cannot be forged. Your trading partner can be certain that a message came from you. The digital signature is mathematically linked to the interchange contents so any changes to the data will be automatically detected upon receipt. TEMPLAR also returns a confirmation that the document was received, unaltered, by the intended recipient.
RELIABILITY
Proven Communication Standards: TEMPLAR takes full advantage of TCP/IP and SMTP/MIME to provide reliable, worldwide message delivery and communications flexibility.
Automatic Notification of Receipt: TEMPLAR automatically notifies you that a trading partner received your transmission. The software then reconciles the recipient's identity and the confirmation received with the information sent. If there is a problem with mail delivery, TEMPLAR notifies you with a message or an operator alert.
Trading Partner Service Levels: You can configure security levels and other communication parameters, such as the time interval between retransmissions, to meet the requirements of individual trading partners.
TRACKING AND AUDITING
Detailed Transmission Information: TEMPLAR provides a complete transmission record for each interchange, including transmission time, time of receipt, byte count, and number of times a message was transmitted.
Integrated Relational Database: TEMPLAR automatically saves EDI data and related transmission information to a database. You can use standard SQL tools to retrieve information and create a variety of reports.
Convenient Graphical Interface for Viewing Messages: TEMPLAR lets you select how you want to view your message log. You can view a summary of all messages or specify viewing criteria such as a trading partner or a time period. If you need additional information, you can view details of a transmission at the record level and the interchange level, or view the EDI data itself.
